Problem 1
Lack of Focus and Concentration
Many players notice it takes 3-5 minutes to fully arrive mentally after kickoff. The first touches feel off, decisions are a split second late, and instead of setting the rhythm, you’re reacting to the game. This is not a lack of ability and you know this, because you show it in training every day. Instead it’s your body being in stress mode

Problem 2
Fatigue and Gassing Out
Burning legs and late-game cramps aren’t just lactic acid. When your breathing muscles fatigue, blood gets "stolen" from your legs and you are forced to slow down - physically and mentally. Cramps are often not about fitness or effort but wrong breathing technique due to higher stress and pressure

Performance Anxiety Pre Game
Being jittery before kickoff means you are already burning off vital energy needed for the game. Feeling nervous before the game doesn't mean you are weak - it means your system is over-activated and you haven't learned how to stay in control yet.
